Miss Kate’s Apple Nut Cake

I made my Grandmothers Carmel Glazed Apple Nut Cake with WLAPF just like she did over 30 years ago. My love for baking started in her kitchen 60 years ago and included White Lily Flour.

Miss Kate’s Apple Nut Cake

2 cups Sugar

3 eggs

1 1/2 Cups of vegetable Oil

1 1/2 Cups White Lily All Purpose Flour

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Soda

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tsp Vanilla Butternut Flavoring

1 cup Chopped Pecans (or walnuts)

3 cups peeled and chopped Apples (I mix Honeycrisp & Granny Smith – avg 4 or 5 big apples depending on size )

Cream oil & Sugar. Mix Dry Ingredients. Mix together adding eggs alternately. Add Vanilla. Blend throughly. Stir in nuts and apples. (Will look like a lot).
