Step 3: Make the Balsamic Glaze
- Saute the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Deglaze the skillet: Pour in the balsamic vinegar and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add the remaining ingredients: Stir in the brown sugar, dried oregano, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Step 4: Finish the Dish
- Return the chicken to the skillet: Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet, coating them evenly with the balsamic glaze.
- Simmer: Allow the chicken to simmer in the glaze for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring it is heated through.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish the Balsamic Chicken with fresh basil leaves and serve hot over cooked rice or pasta.
