Banana peels, don’t throw them away: soak them in vinegar and you’ll see the results

If you’re more of a foodie, simmer the banana peel chunks in sugar syrup until softened, then let them cool and harden. Store your homemade candied banana peels in an airtight container.

Infuse vinegar with banana peels Enhance your vinegar by infusing it with the unique flavor of banana peels. Mix 500 g of skins with 70 g of caster sugar and 120 ml of vinegar in a large glass jar. Fill the pot with water, close it, and stir daily for a week. After fermentation, you can choose to extend the process for an additional four weeks for a deeper flavor.
