  • 1 egg yolk (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water with the yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and yogurt to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the shredded chicken (or ground beef) and sauté until heated through.
  3. Stir in the vegetables, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the filling cool before assembling the rolls.

Step 3: Assemble the Rolls

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
