CHOCOLATE CAKE

ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour, sifted 3 times
1/2 stick butter
1 bar dark chocolate
8 eggs

1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups cow’s milk
3 tablespoons cornstarch
5 egg yolks
1 bar dark chocolate, Turin
1/2 stick butter
1 cup walnuts, chopped
10 whole walnuts

Preparation

Melt 1/2 stick butter and let cool. Melt 1 packet of dark chocolate in a water bath.
Separate the egg whites and egg yolks of the 8 eggs. Beat the sugar and egg yolks for 5 minutes until lemon yellow.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and add to the egg yolks with the sugar. Finally, add the butter, flour and melted chocolate.
Grease and flour three round molds, spread the cake mixture on top and bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, leave to cool on a rack and remove from the mold.

For the cream, beat the 5 egg yolks with the sugar and add the cornstarch and the chocolate dissolved in the milk
