1. Start by peeling and chopping the onions:

2. Spread the chopped onions on a baking sheet:
Place a parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread the chopped onions evenly in a single layer. This prevents them from clumping together when frozen.
3. Flash freeze the onions:
Place the baking sheet with the chopped onions in the freezer for an hour or until the onions are frozen solid. This step ensures that the individual pieces don’t stick together.
4. Transfer the frozen onions to Ziploc bags:
Once the onions are solid, transfer them into Ziploc bags. Label each bag with the date of freezing to keep track of their storage time.
5. Seal and store:
Make sure to remove as much air as possible before sealing the bags. Store the bags in the freezer for future use.
