Dispose of the vacuum bag or empty the canister immediately into an outdoor trash bin.
Step 3: Clean with Hot Soapy Water
Mix a bucket of hot water with dish soap or a multipurpose cleaner.
Mop the entire floor, focusing on areas where you’ve seen cockroaches or droppings.
Hot water helps kill bacteria and removes residue that attracts cockroaches.
Step 4: Use a Vinegar Solution
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water. Add a few drops of dish soap.
Mop the floor again with this solution to disinfect and repel cockroaches.

Pay extra attention to crevices and under appliances.
Step 5: Apply a Borax or Baking Soda Mixture
Borax Method: Mix borax with a little sugar and sprinkle it lightly around baseboards, under sinks, and in cracks.
Baking Soda Method: Mix baking soda and sugar in equal parts and sprinkle it in problem areas.
These mixtures attract cockroaches and kill them when ingested.
Step 6: Use Essential Oils as a Natural Repellent
Cockroaches dislike strong scents like peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea tree oil.
Mix 10–15 drops of your chosen essential oil with a cup of water in a spray bottle. Add a few drops of dish soap for sticking power.
