Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2: Prepare the Vanilla Batter
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined. Set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Chocolate Batter
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In another large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Step 4: Create the Marble Effect
Using a spoon or spatula, drop alternating spoonfuls of the vanilla and chocolate batters into the prepared loaf pan.
Once all the batter is in the pan, use a knife or skewer to swirl the batters together gently. Be careful not to overmix; you want to see distinct swirls of each color.
