Mozzarella Sticks: You Won’t Be Able to Resist

Prepare the breadcrumbs:
Prepare three bowls: one with the flour, one with the beaten eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper, and one with the breadcrumbs mixed with the grated parmesan, garlic powder and oregano (if using).
Bread the sticks:
Dip each mozzarella stick first in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure they are well coated.
For an extra crunchy coating, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps.
Freeze the sticks:
Place the breaded sticks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer for at least 1 hour. This step is essential to prevent the mozzarella from melting too much during frying.
Fry the sticks:
Heat the oil in a deep fryer or deep fryer to about 180°C.
Fry the mozzarella sticks a few at a time for 2-3 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Drain the sticks on paper towels to remove excess oil.
