– 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
– 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, grated
– 1/2 teaspoon of five-spice powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them in the slow cooker.
2. Scatter the thinly sliced onions over the pork chops.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together the garlic, soy sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, oyster sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and five-spice powder until well combined. Pour the mixture over the pork chops and onions in the slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the pork chops are tender.
5. Once the pork chops are done, gently remove them from the slow cooker and place them on a serving platter. If desired, you can pour the cooking juices into a saucepan and simmer until reduced to a thicker sauce, then pour over the pork chops.
6. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for an added touch of flavor and presentation.
