To make the marinade: Mix the plain yogurt, lemon juice, grated ginger, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Marinate the meat: Cut the meat into pieces of suitable size and then dip them in the prepared marinade. Coat each piece thoroughly so that the marinade penetrates well into the structure of the meat.
Marinating time: Cover the bowl with cling film and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. This will make the meat extremely tender.
To cook: Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and brown the meat over medium-high heat, turning the pieces every few minutes, until browned. Then pour in a little water, cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serving: You can serve the finished meat with your favorite side dishes, such as rice or roasted vegetables.
