When the ganache has cooled completely, unroll the biscuit and cover it with ganache. Roll the biscuit again and cut one end by about 2 cm. Place it on top of the log. Then cover everything with chocolate ganache using a spatula.

With a fork, make streaks to make your dessert look as much as possible like a real log.

Leave in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. You can prepare the recipe the day before, it holds up very well!

I then decorated my log with icing sugar, small gifts and small stars, but itâs up to you to decide depending on what you have available. I couldnât find a small Santa Claus or small fir trees to stick in the log, grrrr.
Itâs ready! Itâs much easier and faster than a dessert-style log, more kitsch too, but also more traditional and nice I think?
