Oh, my sweetheart, you are going to have a moving feast. I am reminded of the many family get-togethers when love was carried around as abundantly as the meals we enjoyed as the corn softly swings in the breeze outside my kitchen window. One such delicacy on our filled tables is the modest but very comfortable Slow Cooker Ham & Cheese Sliders. The simplicity of Midwestern hospitality, where every meal offers a chance to show our love and connection via the warmth of shared food, is where these little bundles of happiness originated. And for why could one want to create them? These slow cooker sliders are a great way to bring smiles and happy sighs to your table whether it’s for a Sunday get-together, a potluck, or simply a means to warm the tummies and hearts of your loved ones.
To counter the richness of the cheese and ham, you want something sharp and reviving. Just perfect would be a farm fresh salad or a great coleslaw. And for those who like a bit more, a pickle or two on the side would not be missing. To be honest, however, these sliders have been known to hold their own without much side action required.

Ham and cheese sliders in a slow cooker

Made roughly in twelve sliders, plenty to appeal a small family or a laid-back get-together of friends.
Ingredients: 12 dinner rolls cut half (or any bread of preference).
One pound cooked ham cut thinly; twelve ounces Velveeta cheese sliced
half cup melted unsalted butter
One tablespoon of poppy seeds
One tablespoons Worcestershire sauce; one teaspoon dry chopped onion
A sloshful of ground black pepper and salt
aluminum foil for lining
Direction:
Starting with aluminum foil, line your slow cooker so that, after the sliders are all snuggled in, enough covers them.
Open your dinner rolls and arrange a slice of Velveeta cheese and a piece of ham inside each one. Close them lightly and slink them into the slow cooker with foil lining.
Whisk together in a little bowl melted butter, poppy seeds, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. This combination will speak to your soul and provide your sliders a great balance of tastes.
Drizzle this celestial sauce over the ready-made sliders so that every slice is touched by this liquid gold.
Once they are all cosy, wrap the foil over the sliders to form a cozy cage.
Set the slow cooker to low and let these tiny darlings simmer in their own time—roughly three to four hours—until the cheese is warm and melting and hearts want to meet them.
7. When your kitchen smells like delicious love, you’ll know they’re ready.
Variations and suggestions:

If you’re feeling daring, toss a piece of dill pickle or a dollop of sauerkraut into every slider for a sour twist.
For – For those who want a little spice, the flavors may be awakened by dab of Dijon mustard placed over the rolls before assembly.
In – Should Velveeta not be your preferred cheese, you may easily replace with pieces of Swiss or a mild cheddar. Comfort is ultimately what is sought for.
One could say: Furthermore keep in mind that patience is the secret to a delicate and juicy slider; do not hurry the long cooking procedure. Let time gently work; the results will be well worth the waiting.
