Instructions:

Make the Crispy Onions:

In a skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat.
In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and paprika. Dredge the sliced onions in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
Fry the onions in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Set aside.

Caramelize the Onions for the Sandwich:

In a separate skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Stir in minced garlic for the last 2 minutes. Set aside.

Cook the Steak:

Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook the steak over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Garlic Butter (Optional):

In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and parsley. Spread on the inside of each roll.

Assemble the Sandwich:

If desired, lightly toast the rolls under a broiler until golden.
Layer the steak slices on the bottom half of each roll, followed by caramelized onions, cheese, and a generous handful of crispy onions.
Top with the other half of the roll and press gently.
Serve: Serve hot with your favorite side like fries or a fresh salad.

Helpful Tips:

For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the steak while cooking.
Use a mix of provolone and Swiss for a more complex cheesy flavor.
Enjoy!
