METHOD

In a bowl add the milk (lukewarm), dry yeast, sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla sugar and egg and mix. Sift the flour and baking powder, add the salt and continue mixing. Once everything is mixed, add the butter and knead it with your hands to obtain a smooth and compact dough. Cover with cling film and let rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.

In a saucepan, add milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, cornstarch and egg yolk and whisk until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.

Once the time is up, transfer the dough to the work surface and roll it out into a rectangle. Cut into strips and roll each strip to obtain the roll. Transfer them to the baking sheet covered with parchment paper and cover with a cloth. Let them rise for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, brush the rolls with egg and add the filling on top. Add the chocolate chips to the filling.

Transfer to the oven and bake at 180°C/360°F for 25 minutes. Serve the rolls together on a serving plate and enjoy.
