Puff pastry rolls with minced meat and cheese
egg (for brushing)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional spices: paprika, oregano or cumin
Preparation :
Prepare the filling:
Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
Add the ground meat, season with salt, pepper and optional spices. Cook until cooked through and free of liquid.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the puff pastry:
Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the cooked meat evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1 to 2 cm border.
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the meat.
Form the rolls:
Roll the dough from one of the long ends, so as to form a tight cylinder.
Cut the roll into portions about 2 to 3 cm thick.
Place the rolls on the baking sheet, cut side up.
